How we started
Talisa's Bio:
As a girl, my mom was always writing a new song for me
to sing in our church, and since then, I've never
wanted to do anything with my life but sing and write
music. When I attended North Central College, my life
was blessed with amazing opportunities and incredibly
motivating and inspirational people. My time was
spent writing music, singing in Women's Chorale and
Jazz Choir, acting in plays, playing the synthesizer
for NCC Express, and providing worship services with
the group New Visions. My senior year, I directed
this group as well as New Visions Summer Company,
which gave me a clear understanding of organizing and
creating services. This experience motivated me
(along with my mom) to finally use the music God had
led us both to write and share it with others.
After college, I married my husband, Jeremy, and we
have a beautiful two-year-old, Sydney. Fatih
Creations has always been based on and encouraged by
God and our faith. I feel so blessed each day for my
family and all that God has provided to help me
continue to achieve my dreams.
Judy's Bio:
It all began late one cold, December night at my
kitchen table. After tucking in my three young children for the
night and finishing the laundry and dishes, I sat down with
thoughts of the blessed Christmas season. Suddenly, words and
melody of Jesus' birthday came flowing out. Within five minutes
a song for a young child, "Happy Birthday Jesus", was written.
I just sat there with pen in hand as God's words flowed on a sheet
of school notebook paper. The melody still echoing in my mind, I
was in awe of the moment and what had just transpired in my small,
quiet kitchen. Talisa, three years old at the time, loved to sing
and would quite often sing my preludes before the church service
began. She quickly learned and sang this song for our congregation
- and the rest of the story includes a multitude of God-given
songs over the past twenty-two years.
As Talisa grew, so did the
depth of each song. God sure knew what he was doing! Since that
night so many years ago, Talisa, God, and I have been a team. I
thank God for the gift of music, a family that supports our
endeavors, and the opportunity to share our music with others.
Traveling to and sharing our Faith Creations music ministry with
other congregations has been possible only through God's love and
grace.
I am a blessed mom with three loving, caring children. Kurt
and his wife live and teach in Japan. Brady, his wife and two
children and Talisa, her husband and young daughter all live in
Milledgeville. I am so fortunate to have my grandchildren so close
to hug and love. At the age of eleven, sixth grade to be exact, I
knew I wanted to become a teacher.
My love of music, sports, and
the need to focus on the healthly lifestyles of children has led
me to a double teaching career of music and physical education.
Both areas are so closely related with rhythm as the key to both
subjects. Teaching was very important to me, but I felt I wanted
to stay home to raise my children. What a joy! Many of the
children's songs that God gave me were written during this time.
At the present, Lincoln Elementary School in Dixon, Illinois is
my "home away from home". And in my spare minutes - God gives me
another song. Praise the Lord!
